Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
Divide pizza dough in half, then slice each half into 5 even pieces; set aside.
In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon olive oil together with garlic powder, black pepper, red pepper flakes, ricotta cheese, and mozzarella cheese; set aside.
Stretch each piece of dough into a circle about 4 inches in diameter. Place circles onto prepared baking sheet.
Spoon 2 tablespoons of ricotta mixture into the center of each piece of dough. Top with 3slices of pepperoni and any other desired toppings.
Fold dough in half over the filling, pressing firmly on edges to seal them together. Brush each calzone with remaining olive oil and bake until the crust is golden brown, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Serve with a side of warm marinara sauce for dipping.
