It seems everyone these days has an opinion about what is healthy. Nutrition information is offered constantly through the Internet, news, friends and/or family. Nutrition can seem confusing, conflicting, or difficult to achieve because there is so much nutrition misinformation out there. Around every corner there is a new fad diet or nutrition advice that claims to be a cure-all. Understanding nutrition does not have to be difficult.
March is National Nutrition Month celebrating Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and the work we do teaching clients that food is medicine and has the power to heal. Our theme this year is Bite into a Healthy Lifestyle I thought this would be a good chance to remind you of the work we do at JTA Wellness.  Our mission is to provide clear-cut advice on ways to make changes that work with your lifestyle. Our registered dietitians provide sound nutrition advice that can help you make lasting changes. Our focus is nutrition counseling for GI disorders, diabetes education, heart health, weight management, cancer, performance nutrition, food sensitivities or allergies, kidney disease, women’s health, thyroid and metabolism issues. Preferred providers for most insurance companies we would love to meet with you to discuss any nutrition or health related issues you may be dealing with.
Remember, anyone can call themselves a nutritionist. Find out why our registered dietitians are the gold-standard when it comes to reliable nutrition advice. I have attached a link about what a registered dietitian can do for you! https://www.eatright.org/resource/food/resources/learn-more-about-rdns/what-an-rdn-can-do-for-you
March is full of Spring Break activities and when many families take the opportunity to enjoy some time together. With that in mind, I thought a fun breakfast idea was just the ticket! The recipe today is a ‘jazzed up’ version of a quick breakfast idea that many of us grew up eating, Toad in a Hole. It is also delicious as a quick ‘breakfast for dinner’ solution.
