Slow-Cooker Beef Tacos
A perfect meal to come home to on a cool fall evening!
Ingredients
- 2 pound boneless beef roast, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (4 oz) can green chilies
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 16 corn tortillas, warmed
Instructions
- In large bowl, combine garlic salt, pepper, flour. Add cubed beef and toss gently until well-coated.
- In large Dutch oven, cook beef, in batches, in hot oil until browned on all sides. Remove beef, reserving drippings in Dutch oven. Add chili powder, tomato sauce, beef broth and stir, scraping bits from bottom. Return beef to Dutch oven and stir well.
- Place beef mixture in slow cooker. Add onion, green chilies, and cumin. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours or LOW for 6 hours until beef is tender. Serve with warm tortillas and topping, if desired.
