Green Chili Cheeseburger
Ingredients
- ½ cup low fat mayonnaise
- ¼ cup chopped green chilies, undrained
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons pickled jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 11/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon McCormick’s Steak Seasoning
- 4 (1 oz) slices low fat Colby Jack cheese
- 4 whole grain hamburger buns
Instructions
- Process mayonnaise, green chilies and garlic in food processor until smooth. Place in medium bowl and stir in jalapeno peppers and cilantro. Cover and refrigerate while preparing burgers.
- Shape ground beef into 4 burgers. Season each burger with steak seasoning. Grill, turning once, for about 10 minutes, or until desired doneness. Top burgers with cheese and cook until cheese is melted.
- Toast buns on grill. Place burger on bottom half of bun. Spread about 2 tablespoons of green chili mayonnaise on top half. Place on top of burger and serve. May serve remainder of mayonnaise in small bowl for dipping.
