Green Chili Cheeseburger

Ingredients
  • ½ cup low fat mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup chopped green chilies, undrained
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons pickled jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 11/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick’s Steak Seasoning
  • 4 (1 oz) slices low fat Colby Jack cheese
  • 4 whole grain hamburger buns
Instructions
  1. Process mayonnaise, green chilies and garlic in food processor until smooth. Place in medium bowl and stir in jalapeno peppers and cilantro. Cover and refrigerate while preparing burgers.
  2. Shape ground beef into 4 burgers. Season each burger with steak seasoning. Grill, turning once, for about 10 minutes, or until desired doneness. Top burgers with cheese and cook until cheese is melted.
  3. Toast buns on grill. Place burger on bottom half of bun. Spread about 2 tablespoons of green chili mayonnaise on top half. Place on top of burger and serve. May serve remainder of mayonnaise in small bowl for dipping.
